Resolutions

Can’t believe we’re half way through the first decade in the 21st century. I used to think that by this time there would be cars flying in the sky. Hah! So much for my imagination.
And what comes with ever new year are new resolutions. So I thought I’d share you my resolutions:

1. Quit smoking! Okay, not likely. But hey, it’s only the sixth day of January. I still have like 360 days more to go! So back off people!

2. Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. You might think that it’s easy right? Just go ahead and volunteer yourself. But here’s the catch. In Habitat, not only you have to volunteer yourself, but you also have to donate some money. I actually think it’s a good idea. It makes you really committed in your volunteer work. But my problem is I can’t even support myself let alone donating a few thousand bucks. (Anyone reading this, who wants to donate money but couldn’t volunteer, please contact me and we’ll talk. Thanks.

3. Going back to school. Ah, the sheer joy of not having the responsibility to support yourself. To act stupid and be forgiven for it. To ask for more allowances and not feel guilty for it. Because hey, we’re only students! Damn, I really wish I could go back to those days!

4. Take a yoga class. Didn’t know where that came from, just thought I should put something here that would show my intentions to loose weight.

5. Last but not least, I’m gonna find my significant other. Yup, I am no longer capable of being single. I’ve had it. Period. This year I’m really going to look for that person who will be responsible for my every heartache, every laughter, every tear, every smile, every headache and every joy. So come on lad, where the heck are ya?

That’s it. Now I’m gonna leave you with a short lyric from Jamie Cullum’s “Next Year, Baby”. Just to put things in perspective.

Next year, things are gonna change/Gonna drink less beer/And start all over again/Gonna read more books/Gonna keep up with the news/Gonna learn how to cook/And spend less money on shoes/I’ll pay my bills on time/And file ‘em in the way everyday/Only drink the finest wine/And call my gran every Sunday/Well resolutions, baby they come and go/Will I do any of these things?/The answer is probably N O/If there’s one thing I am still/Despite my greatest fears/I’m gonna say to you/How I felt all over these years/Next year……… “

God is love, peace out
